چکیده: آموزش پیش دبستانی همواره به عنوان یكی از مقاطع آموزشی كشور چین مدنظر قرار داشته است. در نواحی شهری، آموزش پیش دبستانی عمدتاُ در كودكستان ارائه گردیده و مدت زمان سه ، دو یا یك سال به طول می انجامد گفتنی است كه مراكز فوق بصورت تمام وقت، پاره وقت و یا پانسیونی فعالیت می نمایند. در نواحی روستایی آموزش پیش دبستانی عمدتاً بصورت كلاس های نگهداری اطفال و كودكستان های فصلی است. در مناطق باستانی، قومی، دور افتاده و فقیرنشین كشور علاوه بر آموزش پیش دبستانی طبیعی و معمول، آموزش غیر معمول با اشكال مختلف از قبیل مراكز فعالیتی كودكان، مراكز تفریحی و مراكز آموزشی متحرك «كاروان» فعالیت دارند. در این مقطع ، كودكان رده سنی3 تا 6 سال به كودكستان نزدیك خانه خودرفته و درآنجابه تعلیم موضوعات اصلی و زبان بومی خود مبادرت می نمایند. آن ها بازی می كنند، می رقصند و آواز می خوانند. در این مقطع به كودكان ارزش حقیقت، مهربانی و زیبایی آموخته می شود در كشورچین آموزش كودكان جدی گرفته می شود زیرا شخصیت هر فرد طی سال های اولیه شكل می گیرد. طی سالهای اخیر، سیاست آموزشی پیش دبستانی با توسعه چشمگیری روبرو بوده است. به نحوی كه مطابق آمار بدست آمده طی سال 1998، كشور چین از بیش 180000 كودكستان با 24000000 دانش آموز برخوردار می باشد.
